Board of Directors

Haldimand FHT’s Board of Directors plays a crucial role in overseeing governance, ensuring accountability, and safeguarding the organization’s mission. The Board is responsible for setting strategic direction, approving policies, and ensuring that resources are managed efficiently and ethically. Board members monitor compliance with regulations, oversee financial health, and make decisions that align with Haldimand FHT’s goals and mandate. Through diligent oversight, the Board fosters transparency and trust between the healthcare organization and the public it serves.

Ina Main

A director on the Board of Haldimand FHT since 2017, Ina became Chair during the COVID-19 pandemic and has worked to evolve the Board as it changed from in-person, to online, and now operating in a hybrid environment. As a lifetime member of the Haldimand community, with much-lived experience of caregiving in the community, she has a passion for building awareness & improving healthcare in Haldimand. Ina has an extensive background of working in healthcare finance and reporting to Ontario’s Ministry of Health.

Judith Santone

Judith has served as a director with Haldimand FHT since 2016. She is connected to the local community and raised her family in Haldimand. She has previous governance experience as a Board member in the Mental Health program in Haldimand and delivery of health services as a nurse in Haldimand. Judith is a strong voice in advocating that healthcare delivery in a rural region can be challenging and that the Board has an important role in ensuring all residents have equitable access to primary care

Melissa Kragten

Melissa is a leading primary care manager with 16 years of experience in the healthcare industry. Through her passion for promoting and driving patient-centred care, Melissa has become a trusted and respected figure in her field. Her academic background served as the foundation for her career, instilling in her essential skills such as leadership, strategic thinking, and problem-solving. The ability to serve her community is what fuels Melissa's passion for her work. Melissa understands the unique needs of Haldimand and is committed to improving community health through collaborative efforts with our partners.

Marcey Quenneville

Marcey Quenneville is a seasoned sales executive and commercial leader who brings extensive experience to the Board of Directors. With over 20 years in strategic sales management, Marcey has driven organizational change and significant growth for two renowned global medical device companies and serves on the Board of Directors for MedTech Canada. She holds an Honours BSc in Nutrition from Western University and recently completed her Executive MBA at the University of Fredericton. Marcey’s leadership extends beyond sales, actively contributing to corporate strategy, compliance, and governance. She is known for her collaborative approach and ability to navigate complex situations. Marcey has supported the Dunnville Minor Hockey Association and the Grand Erie District School Board.

Dr. Marilyn Robertson

Dr. Marilyn Robertson is a family physician who had a large practice in Caledonia for 32 years and was part of the Haldimand FHT. She retired in March 2024 and remains active in the medical field. Dr. Robertson is a lifetime resident of Haldimand and is committed to improving the healthcare for residents. She has been on the Board of the Haldimand FHT since 2021.

Patrick Shepherd

Patrick achieved his Certified General Accountant (CGA) designation in 1993 and his Certified Financial Planner (CFP) designation in 2003. He worked from 1989 to 1998 in a CA firm in Hamilton/Burlington then in 1998 became Finance Manager at H-N REACH in Townsend, where he was promoted to Director of Finance & Admin. He was a leader at REACH from 1998 to 2011 and grew his accounting, tax & advisory practice in Dunnville at the same time, eventually leaving REACH at the end of 2011 to operate the practice full-time. He joined the Board of Haldimand FHT in 2018 and has been the Treasurer since then.
